Daily geek-out

PBS has given the go-ahead for the first season of Wired Science. This can't be good for my addiction to both Wired and television.

In other Wired news, they have reported that the iTunes Plus DRM-free music I mentioned in yesterday's post isn't as sweet as it sounds. iTunes Plus will stash the user's full name and email address as a watermark in every downloaded MP3. Not only is this a privacy issue for some (consider viruses, hacking opportunities, etc...), it also seems contradictory to the no-DRM idea. I'll take the thirty cent less, worry free music over that any day. What am I saying? I don't use the iTunes store... and now I don't think I ever will.
